My name is Yannick FOKAM NOULE. As young Cameroonian, i have made the promotion of African tourist heritage my hobbyhorse. After my studies in German civilisation, i followed a three-year professional training in management and the animation of local tourism. Thus i brought my knowledge and know-how to the creation of tourism agencies, with the major challenge each time being to interest the local populations in the practice of tourism. An activity which, according to popular belief, is reserved only for people with a certain financial comfort. It was then that, with the support of professionals in the fields of health and sport, the concept sport-tourism -health was born. A three in one formula that offers the possibility of practicing Sport while discovering the rich tourists islands of our country, for a guaranteed health. Thus tourism should no longer be considered as a simple leisure activity, but also as a way to find in Mother Nature the ingredients to prevent multiple diseases which are often sources of huge expenses in hospitals and pharmacies. An eBook detailing the concept has been published. Because whether we are healthy or not, we don’t like getting sick. Activities such as hiking in the hills, along beaches, forests and even in dry climates have given older people, both young and old, the opportunity to get away from the monotony of a hectic life, to be at one with nature and to benefit from its many benefits. The positive feedback from these experiences was not long in coming. This gave me the opportunity to take an active part in the success of the fifth edition of the Arterial Network Conference on the creative economy in Africa (ACEC-Yaounde 2015), the first edition of the west Cameroon townships exhibition, the setting up of the AYA Sarl Cabinet (training and retraining of hotel staff), the setting up of the African Network of tourism Professional , the creation of the confederation of professional Organisations of tourism Industry in Central Africa., the creation of Cameroon Association for the promotion of Ecotourism…
And among some achievements, I took part as speaker to the first edition of International fair of culture, tourism and handicrafts in Conakry-Republic of Guinea (SICTA, MAY 2022), with the theme: Valorization of natural and cultural heritage: an obstacle to the immigration of young Africans. I did the Market research for the setting up of a complex hotel in Douala-Cameroon: Douala Beach Resort (DBR) (Study of profitability of the project in a highly competitive sector, Determine the market niche that would be most suitable for the project, Examine the socio-economic characteristics that may influence developments and needs in the sector). I also led the Cameroonian delegation (made up of Chiefs, designers…) to the headquarters of the African Union for the pan African event “Africa Celebrates” (October 2022). I Co-organized the study trip to the Zakouma Protected Area in the Chadian Republic (1- 5th December 2022).
